Young innovators will emerge from schoolchildren through the Youth Ideathon, which is organized for the first time: Minister of State Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma

New Delhi. On the occasion of 75 years of independence, the Management Entrepreneurship Professional Skill Council (MEPSC) of the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) organized the K12 segment and Bajaj Allianz Life [email protected] Youth Ideathon (Ideathon) in partnership with ThinkStartup ( TS) ). It is a festive contest where schoolchildren will be able to present their innovative entrepreneurial ideas.

The three-phase competition will take place from September 21 to November 13, 2021 with the goal of instilling the entrepreneurial spirit among school students through the power of ideas that can transform the nation. The winning student’s idea will become a prototype/product. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has given recognition to the Youth Ideathon.

Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, as the main guest at the Youth Ideathon launch ceremony, said I am pleased that [email protected] Youth Ideathon is being organized to celebrate the spirit of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It is a joy that the Ideathon is being organized for the first time on a large scale for school children.

CBSE Director Dr. Biswajit Saha was the guest of honor at the launch event. He said: “[email protected] Youth Ideathon aims to bring together students from diverse backgrounds who have a passion for innovation and a belief in transforming the nation. I urge more and more students to come forward and participate in this Youth Ideathon.

The Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, opened the Youth Ideathon event.

Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, Director of Atal Innovation Mission, said that this innovation ecosystem is a welcome step for young students to experience the power of entrepreneurship at a young age.

Colonel Anil Kumar Pokhriyal, CEO of MEPSC, said that today our children are the future of India. We are happy to support this event as it supports entrepreneurship at the right age.

Ms. Shivani Singh Kapoor, founder of ThinkStartup, hoped that [email protected] Youth Ideathon would provide a connecting link between New Education Policy and Startup India. This will pave the way for India’s technological leap towards world leadership.

According to Sanjeev Shivesh, co-founder of Youth Ideathon, ThinkStartup and program director, “We think the time has come for the Youth Ideathon. It will be transformative for India and therefore Youth Ideathon stands for “My Thought Jo Badal From India”.

CBSE affiliated foreign schools can also participate
Students from classes 6 to 12 from all CBSE affiliated schools in India and schools abroad can participate in this competition. A website has been created especially for students: www.youthideathon.in where you can participate in the Youth Ideathon for free. Additionally, students can submit as many ideas as they want.

500 young innovators entrants will be shortlisted via video interview
With the participation of hundreds of thousands of students in the Youth Ideathon, as well as 500 Young Innovators participants will be shortlisted via video interview, from which the top 100 finalists of the [email protected] Youth Ideathon will be selected. Prizes will be distributed among participating students in the form of cash prizes, mentoring, incubation and learning support. Not only this, the organizers also scheduled daily webinars with successful entrepreneurs during the competition.

Winner Youth Ideathon to get a prize of Rs 1 lakh
The winner of [email protected] ie Youth Ideathon will get Rs 1 lakh. At the same time, Rs 60,000 will be awarded to the first runner-up of [email protected] Youth Ideathon and Rs 40,000 to the second runner-up. Apart from this, Rs 25000 will be awarded for the best idea of ​​a student sponsored by Sheetwork. At the same time, a further 700 prizes will be awarded in the form of Top 10 Ideas.

There are also individual certificates for best green idea, best automation and robotics idea, best financial idea, best health and fitness idea, best entertainment and gaming idea, best educational idea, best development idea rural and a cash prize of Rs 25,000. In addition, the Best Space Technology Idea, Best Social Idea and Best Consumer Product Idea have also been included in this list.
