Xiaomi’s Cyberdog arrived in India, learn why the robot is special and what its specifications are

New Delhi. Xiaomi has unveiled its Cyberdog bio-inspired quadruped robot in India. It is designed for the open source community and developers. In India, it will be part of Mi Home stores in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. This robot can easily walk even in difficult places without colliding with things around it.

Cyberdog gets the Nividia Jetson Xavier NX AI supercomputer. It includes 384 CUDA cores, 48 ​​Tensor cores, a Carmel 6 ARM CPU and 2 deep learning acceleration engines and comes with 128GB SSD storage. It can also be customized through three USB Type-C ports and an HDMI port.

The robot can walk in difficult places without crashing
The robot is equipped with 11 high-precision sensors, including touch sensor, camera, ultrasonic sensor, GPS module, etc. Guide the movement of the robot. With the help of these sensors, the robot can walk in difficult places without colliding with things around it. It has been calibrated by the company’s in-house servo motors and offers maximum Cyberdog torque output and a rotational speed of up to 32 N m/220 Rpm. The CyberDog can perform high-speed movements of up to 3.2 m/s and actions such as back flips.

AI interactive camera
Cyberdog has a large number of camera sensors, including AI interactive camera, bunocular ultra wide angle fisheye camera, Intel RealSense D450 depth module, etc. The company says that it can be trained with computer vision algorithms.

Cyberdog creates navigation maps
In addition to this vision sensor system, CyberDog comes with autonomous object tracking, SLAM, and centimeter-scale observation avoidance and navigation. Fueled with this, CyberDog can analyze its surroundings in real time and avoid obstacles there. Apart from this, you can also create navigation maps and reach your destination. It can also recognize the posture and the human face.

Smartphone app and voice control
Cyberdog can be controlled and commanded by voice assistant and wake word. Apart from this, there is also a remote control and smartphone app for manual control. Currently, the company exhibits CyberDog only in Mi Home. No information about its price has been revealed yet. It is currently not available for sale on the market.
