Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Combined Police Organization (CPO) examination in three levels namely Tier 1, PET/PST and Tier 2. ssc cpo Tier 1 and Tier 2 is conducted in online mode, on the other hand PET/PST is conducted in physical mode. In Paper I, candidates have to solve 200 objective type questions on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, English and Quantitative Aptitude topics, and in Paper II, candidates have to answer objective type questions on English Language and Comprehension. Only those candidates who qualify after Paper I will be called for PET/PST and can attempt Paper II of this exam.

SSC CPO exam pattern consists of 2 levels of objective type. Candidates who will qualify for SSC CPO Tier 1 Exam will be called for Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test and only those candidates who will clear this round of PET and PST will be called for SS CPO Tier 2 Exam . After this test, selected candidates will be called for final selection round- Medical Examination.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2023: Tier 1
- The first paper will have 4 subjects, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
- The language of the question papers will be in English and Hindi except for the English section.
- The questions in both the papers will be of objective multiple choice type.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I and Paper-II.
- The marks obtained by the candidates in the Computer Based Examination will be normalized.

The criteria for Medical Test is given below:
- Minimum myopia: N6 (Better Eye) and N9 (Worse Eye)
- Minimum distance vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye)
- Should not have knock knees, flat feet, varicose veins or squint in the eyes
- The eye standard should be without any kind of visual correction, not even with glasses.
SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2023: Tier 2
SSC CPO Tier 2 exam will be conducted online and will consist of a single paper 200 questions in English language and maximum 200 marks.
