Right now, it seems that only a few users are dealing with this issue, but it seems that the problem still persists and is coming to many S20 series models. Fortunately, Samsung has acknowledged this screen flaw and is offering free screen replacements for all of the company’s Galaxy S20 series phones in Vietnam.
The screen will change for free
According to Tin Te, a Vietnamese publication (via), Samsung launched a one-time free screen replacement program for Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra devices. This will be for models facing vertical green line on screen issue.

According to the report, Galaxy S20+ users with this ‘Line on Screen’ issue will get a one-time free screen replacement until December 31, 2022. Also, this will be valid only if the phone has no other physical damage. , water damage or is in the out-of-warranty stage. The report further reveals that not only the Galaxy S20+, but also the standard Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Ultra are also compatible with the free screen replacement program.
While this is a good decision by Samsung, it seems that it is limited to Vietnam for now. Currently, it is unknown if this program is available in India.
