Although the origin of this fruit is China, but commercially it was used by New Zealand. In Himachal Pradesh, in the 1990s, many orchards were planted in Kullu, Mandi, Solan and Chamba Sirmaur districts, but due to lack of technical knowledge, kiwifruit horticulture did not prove to be as beneficial as its potential. The main reason for this was the low quality of the fruits, which less was neglected fruits imported from abroad.
