New Delhi. WhatsApp users of both instant messaging platforms receive messages offering free visas and jobs in the UK. These messages are supposedly fake. Scammers send it to access bank details and other sensitive information of users. The message states that these messages are being sent to the UK government. In this phishing scam running on WhatsApp, people who want to work in the UK are targeted.
The message says that the UK needs more than 1 lakh of workers in 2022, so the government is organizing a festival of work. The WhatsApp message urged people to apply for 1,86,000 vacancies.
Job seekers at Target
According to a Malwarebytes report, many users have complained of receiving fake messages from the UK government. Cybercriminals posing as government officials target users who are willing to go to the UK in search of work. These fake messages claim that the UK government is running a recruitment drive to fill more than 186,000 vacancies.

The lure of free visas and other benefits
According to the report, scammers are also luring free visas and other benefits with this message. There is also a link present with this fraud message, clicking on which users land on a fake domain. This website resembles the UK visa and immigration website. Here people are asked to give some information.
Don’t click on the message
We inform you that these types of messages are made to extract personal and sensitive information from users. When users are taken to the fake website, they start filling in details like their name, email address, phone number, marital status, and employment status. The website misleads users to believe that they will be provided with a UK visa, accommodation, etc. free, which is completely wrong. So whenever you get this type of message, don’t click on it.
